LEBANON 2018

spring 2018

Eight of our THMC EM members joined with members from the KM (Korean Ministry) to serve in Lebanon for our church's SPARK missions. During this trip, each team member was able to serve and love the Korean soldiers who are currently based there through cooking, prepping, and engaging with them. Through this ministry, the soldiers were able to experience God's love and grace in Lebanon.

This was my 2nd mission and my 1st Spark mission.
Spark missions are unique to our church- we specifically serve the Korean soldiers in Korea, but for this particular mission, we served the Korean army located in Lebanon.
Our church's Korean Ministry organized this Lebanon Spark and our English Ministry had the opportunity to participate. All the planning that went into making this happen was incredible.
I was blown away by the sheer will power of all the mission team members. Fighting through sleep deprivation, working 12+ hours daily and yet able to smile and lovingly serve the soldiers.. I was reminded yet again what it means to be a body of Christ, to love and to serve one another. Mission is what we are called to do, and our daily lives are the training grounds to prepare for these missions.

At Spark, I witnessed the transformative impact of God and his people on the hearts and minds of both participants and volunteers. My take away was to work hard and to diligently press on with my life back in LA - invest in my family, excel in my work and sharpen the tools God has imparted on me.
